Does an acting agency offer acting classes?

Maynard Phoubandith: Musical theater is still acting and that would benefit you a lot.No agencies never offer acting classes because it is assumed if you have an agent you are a professional actor.An agent's only job is to find their client work - not train them. They're usually just a few people in an office.I'd advise you to go for the musical theatre classes, if you find something better you can always switch but it is a very good idea to start even if it's not quite what you want - especially because actors are often required to sing and dance....Show more

Marna Liddie: there are agents,managers and casting directors who hold classes. acting is pretty much acting. if you can act on stage you can act in front ofa camera, there are just some slight differences. any experience and training you can get is important. your b! ig drawback is where you are,there's just not going to be much acting opportunities in maryland. mosteverything is done in LA and NY. you really need to be in one of those places to do this....Show more
