does hair damage make your hair grow slowly?

Frederic Engellant: definately, it breaks off if you dont get trims and it can slow it downtryregular trims are a must, about every 7-9 weeks. if its been awhile since you have had a trim then inches may be called for to get to healthy hair. i use vitamin e on fresh washed hair. dont message into scalp. if you get too much then just rewash it. hair will feel slightly sticky until dry then it will be nice and soft. it tames the frizzies, deep conditions and makes hair grow about three in a month. it takes about a month for the e to kick in. dont brush your hair but maybe once a week to message the scalp, i use a wide tooth comb at other times. brushing breaks off hair. i just started biotin vitamins eight weeks ago this sat and notice and big growth spurt from that. biotin is cheap. i also have the biotin shampoo that i got from a vitamin store online. five bucks for a big bottle. good luck...Show more

Dionna Doyel: Damaged hair can grow slower because the "split end! s" are not just at the ends. If your hair is really damaged most of the time your individual hair shaft is split from the ends all the way up to the root. Which makes it hard for the hair under the scalps surface to come out. It's important to cut your hair so the split ends stay at the ends.

Pasty Cobbett: Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aMbq7 While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

Myriam Hetjonk: I don't see why it would. Hair grows out from your scalp, so even if the bulk of your hair and your ends are damaged it shouldn't affect the rate at which your hair grows.

Bethany Blocker: Not really as long you know how to take care your hair. You have to cut your hair at least 2inch to 3inch and apply hair treatment to cover your hair at l! east half hrs to 1hrs but must be one week twice a days slowl! y your hair will grow faster, just remember once your hair grow you must cut your unwanted hair away.

Mario Stricklan: No but if it's very damaged and brittle, the ends will keep breaking off and your hair will not appear to grow until the new strong hair is in the majority. I have heard that you should actually get a haircut done professionally to chop off all those split ends, even though you want to grow it. It will be better in the long run. But it won't actually grow any faster.
