Luke Gacusan: Health care is not an issue for women. Everywhere that I have worked, the health insurance deduction from the paycheck has been exactly the same for everyone in the office. The cost of insurance only varies when an individual has to pay for his/her own insurance. But, this is a game of math for the insurance companies. Smokers have to pay more; people with medical issues have to pay more. A completely healthy person pays less. A 50-yr old man typically pays more than a 50-yr woman simply because his cholesterol level is usually higher. This is not a women's issue, it is simply a matter of an insurance company trying not the spend more than it takes in. If it is a forgone conclusion that you will cost more in medical expanses than the insurance company will make from your premium, then your premium will have to be increased....Show more
Coleman Senn: "We still have a problem of pay equity."Actually we don't. Men and women are paid according to th! eir value to an employer. In many cases women out-earn men."In health care, women have been paying higher premiums." Men have paid more for auto insurance for years. This discrimination has been justified by many in a similar way that one might justify higher health insurance costs for women."It is discrimination and tyranny when you want to revert to 50 years ago when women did not have equal opportunity in housing, jobs, health, credit."Hyperbole and intellectual dishonesty. In the US, women have the same opportunities as men in housing, jobs, health and credit.Concerning abortion: In the US, women have a "choice" to terminate a pregnancy. However, after conception, a man has no choice. In fact, he can be held financially responsible for the "unwanted fetus" for the next 18+ years, facing penalty of law if he fails to meet this obligation. In this case, women have "choices" and "rights" after conception; men simply have obligations under the law.â"â"â"Women bene! fit from women-only scholarships. Women are a majority on coll! ege campuses, and therefore earn more degrees than men. Government assistance is available specifically for women entrepreneurs. Affirmative action programs legally favor women over men. As a result of these pro-women policies, young women out-earn their male peers. For years, women have controlled the manner in which a family's money is spent, accounting for 85% of all consumer purchases; women control the largest percentage of personal wealth, and the numbers are expected to increase.Meanwhile, men account for the vast majority of workplace injuries and fatalities (93%) due to the fact that men are more likely to work in hazardous occupations. Despite this fact and the fact that men have a shorter life expectancy, the government focuses its attention on women's issues with offices and agencies like:White House Council on Women and Girls;Women in Development, USAID;WIC, USDA; Women's Bureau, US Dept of Labor; The Office of Womenâs Health, FDA; Office of Research on Wom! enâs Health, National Institutes of Health (NIH); and The Office on Womenâs Health, Office of Public Health and Science. No similar federal agencies exist for men's issues/health. In fact, roughly twice the federal funds are spent on breast cancer research as are spent on prostate cancer research.http://www.scholarships.com/financial-aid/college-... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic... http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100014240527487044...http://www.she-conomy.com/facts-on-womenhttp://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2009/08/31/bus...http://zerocancer.org/news/clippings/breast-cancer...http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/NCI/r......Show more
Jackson Esmiol: There is a strong element in this country that wants to take away a woman's control over her own reproduction. There are people trying to pass something called the Personhood Amendment which would declare the zygote a person upon penetration of the egg by the sperm. This would not only ou! tlaw all abortion, even in the case of rape, incest, and the life of th! e mother, but it would also ban contraceptive devices like the IUD and most hormonal birth control. Some states have passed laws forcing a woman to have a transvaginal ultrasound before an abortion. Some have passed laws allowing the doctor to lie to a woman about a disease whose treatment would kill the fetus. These are only a few examples. The most important thing about this election is that at least one, if not two, Supreme Court judges will be leaving the court in the next four years and the man who is elected President will make the appointments to fill those seats. It is already split 5/4 con/lib and if the wrong person is elected, it will be overwhelmingly conservative for decades. Roe v Wade will be overturned, as well as many other laws that have been declared either Constitutional or unConstitutional in the past.Edit: Ahh, I see! You didn't really want an answer to your question, just a chance to spout of your opinions. Now, please read the Constitution a! nd tell us where it gives you permission to impose your religious beliefs on the rest of us. Your comments in the equal pay section are flat out wrong and make me think you are not a woman as well. Walmart did not lose the suit. The Supreme Court ruled that the women did not have standing as a class and would have to sue them individually. How far do you think that would have gotten them? You are also ignorant about insurance. The employer simply averages it out for the employees. Try to get an individual policy for you and your husband, or your wife if you really are a man, and see how that works. In addition, the Teavangelists want to shut down Planned Parenthood, which is the only source of healthcare for millions of women, not for abortion but for general checkups, mammograms, Pap smears, etc. I think you are really a man, or your husband doesn't ever let you watch anything but Fox....Show more
Chris Coggins: Women have equal rights but not equal responsi! bilities.
Reyes Brunell: Issues like access to healthcare, matern! ity/paternity leave, equal pay for equal work, etc.If you think there are no gender issues because woman can drive and vote than you're a misogynist with lazy intellectualism and you need to take some personal responsibility and educate yourself.
Bryant Chaudhry: We still have a problem of pay equity. Pres Obama signed a bill to give women more time to file suit for pay discrimination. In health care, women have been paying higher premiums. Under the ACA that has been remedied.A woman's right to an elective abortion has been curtailed by the back door through local laws making it difficult, and there are lawsuits challenging these local laws, i.e. in Virginia the governor wanted to require all women to submit to an invasive procedure before getting an abortion.Contraception covered by insurance. Catholic institutions do not want insurance with this coverage. I dont know the resolution of this.Under the ACA all women get one free consultation for their special problems ! which does affect the whole family. In child care, those very low income parents who were getting Head Start pre-schooling may lose it because in the Ryan budget, funding is reduced. The Personhood Amendment sponsored by Ryan gives a fertilized egg legal rights, could conceivably lead to criminalizing abortion. It is discrimination and tyranny when you want to revert to 50 years ago when women did not have equal opportunity in housing, jobs, health, credit....Show more
Sherita Gallati: First of all, how do you see people talking about a topic? Learn English.Second, are you serious right now? Do you think this is Saudi Arabia? We're not 100 years behind the rest of the Western world. We actually let women vote and yes a shocker I know even drive. I'm sure some lies are told to women to persuade them, just like your father apparently told your mother that he was wearing a condom even though it was her right to say no....Show more
Pasty Cobbett: First of all, I'm "pro! life", so you have to take abortion off the table as a women's issue. ! You can argue that it is also an issue for men. It is possible that a woman getting an abortion is murdering a man's child, so in a way you can say the man is just as much a victim in issues related to abortion. So, the topic of abortion is not specific to women or women's rights.
Idell Syed: There is no issue about equal pay. If there is a discovery that pay rates are different based on gender, race, etc., then our courts will find fault with the employer. Walmart lost a lawsuit due to paying men more. It's hard to determine "equal work", but I have observed that women tend to take the jobs that have little responsibility, so the pay is smaller. For example, we have a lot of women answering phones, and doing little office jobs. The women that we had in executive positions don't last long, and often quit after a few months. But, the women answering phones tend to stay in the same position for years without any interest or motivation towards advancement. In the te! ch area, there is no disparity in pay because the pay rate is directly related to experience and skill. People who study, learn skills, accomplish goals, and gain experience can get a higher salary. Often tech people do "job hopping" towards higher paying jobs. Typical salary in...Show more

Damaris Weiler: properly in accordance to a educate I watched referred to as "The Anatomy of sex" a woman's lips entice men, and as a fashion to entice men, she shades them to cause them to extra large. Lip colour has chemical substances in it to make it a particular colour, and make it very last more. desire that helped.
