Mee Blumenfeld: If you are in Great Britain, yes, it is!! If the car is on finance, it is wholly owned by the finance company, until the debt is totally paid off. Therefore, it cannot be legally sold until the finance is cleared. The law may well be different in the U.S.A., but this is Y!A U.K. and Ireland, after all...
Ty Kirton: You would need to check locally, but in Missouri , if you never transferred the title, and never signed the title, you could sell it to the next person, the same way you bought it...take their money, and hand them the title...Only accept cash though......
Brenton Cornwall: Um I havent gotten pulled over because it's been sitting in a garage alright? you think I'm that dumb to drive around like that? um and I'm not a crackhead you moron.
Tamatha Neubaum: contact the DMV and ask them. If anyone knows they will :)
Davida Gisriel: The title you have is still registered in the person you bought it froms name. You have to go to ! the DMV and transfer the title so it is in your name. You will have to pay the sales tax from when you purchased it. If all the seller did when you got the title was sign his name you will have to fill out the rest before you go. That is pretty easy just fill in the blanks. If you sell the car and don't transfer the title first you are jumping title and that is illegal. You don't have to insure or plate a vehicle to transfer the title. The state doesn't want to miss any of there taxes so they require you to put the car in your name and then sell it. Not to mention if you don't transfer the title you are (in the states eyes) selling someone else's car. In Michigan where I live it only cost $15 to transfer the title so its cheap enough to do it right....Show more
Donovan Stallons: you are a crackhead.get back on smokin your pot
Lue Podewils: Don't you have parents that can help you out? You can't sell a car if your name is not on the title. Legally, it is not yo! urs. I am surprised you weren't pulled over by police by not ! having proper tags. You also need to have insurance because if a person who is going to buy it from you will most likely test drive it. And, if he/she gets in an accident, you are screwed.
Karl Jantzen: So actually the car is still in his name, it sounds like. Here in Oregon, if you went and drove that car and wrecked it, it would go against the "friend" cause its not in your name.
