What is a good car audio system and where to get it.?

Dick Ovdenk: Pioneer is a great company, I understand you wanting to stick with them. But if you want something new these are some great brands for certain items imo.For decks:Alpine, Pioneer, Eclipse, Kenwood, InfinitySpeakers:Alpine, Eclipse, infinity, Polk, Pioneer, BlaupunktSubs Alpine, JL audio, Kicker, Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate, Blaupunkt,FI Audio, RE Audio, MTXAmps:Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, JL audio, Hifonics, Kenwood, MTXAmp install Kit:Rockford Fosgate all the wayStreetwires is good to.Great sites to shop on:Crutchfield.com is by far the best website to shop on. They have a feature where you can type in the make, model and etc for your car and provide a long list of things that fit and they offer great deals with free equipment and installation instructions as well.onlinecarstereo.comsonicelectronix.comI tend to lean towards alpine for all of my audio needs, but note that is my preference. You just have to listen to many speakers, subs and etc. to get a f! eel for what you like and what you are willing to spend in order to make you system your own.I hope this helps and good luck....Show more

Clifford Riggleman: For decks:Alpine, Pioneer, Eclipse, Kenwood, InfinityAll of these companies make great deck, except Infinity, they suck.Speakers:Alpine, Eclipse, infinity, Polk, Pioneer, BlaupunktPioneer speakers are alright, but that is it. Infinity's tweets are garbage, way too harsh. The rest are very good.Subs Alpine, JL audio, Kicker, Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate, Blaupunkt,FI Audio, RE Audio, MTXJL = overpriced, Kicker = over ratted. RE and FI (just about the same) will smoke check JL. The rest are great.Amps:Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, JL audio, Hifonics, Kenwood, MTXAgain, JL over priced, the rest are good buys.Amp install Kit:Rockford Fosgate all the wayStreetwires is good to.Rockford Fosgate has the best kit right now.Streetwires are not good, they are decent.Great sites to shop on:Crutchfield.com is by far the bes! t website to shop on. They have a feature where you can type i! n the make, model and etc for your car and provide a long list of things that fit and they offer great deals with free equipment and installation instructions as well.Actually, crutchfield will charge you more than your local audio shops, rip off. Only use crutchfiield for reference only!!!!!!...Show more

David Kuper: go on the ebay website i bought my whole system off there and it was a lot cheaper plus they ship it to you

Bob Nakamoto: if you find an adapter to convert 110volt house current to 12 volt car current to power your amp you can do it using car components. the only thing needed after that is the hook up from computer speaker jack into your amp and wire all speakers from amp into your sub woof, and other speakers good luck.... you can read about how much power you'll need to drive speakers with an amp in hobbies and electronics section at the library

Emeline Albracht: Pioneer
